01/01/2014The history of Bulandshahr begins even before 1200 BC This region is closer to the capital of the Pandavas - Indraprasth and Hastinapur. After the fall of Hastinapur, Ahar is located in the northeast of Bulandshahr district became an important place for Pandavas. With passes of time the king Parma made a fort in this part of the region and a king named Ahibaran laid the foundations of a tower called Baran (Bulandshahr). Since it is perched on a plateau which became known as the upper town which was translated into the language of passion and Bulandshahr. Today this is called by this name.
This is between 28.40 and 28.00 north latitude and between 77.00 and 78.00 Eastern District longitudes.The is approximately 84 km long and 62 km is the amplitude. The district is 237.44 meters above sea level.
