JNKVV Recruitment 2014 Download Notification www.jnkvv.nic.in Results 2014 Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya (JNKVV) Jabalpur  Dated 1/01/2014 Government of India with the help of the State Government created the largest university in Jabalpur multi - campus , in the heart of India , named after the architect of modern India , Pt . Jawaharlal Nehru based on the recommendations of the Radhakrishnan Commission ( 1949 ) on the concept of Creating Agricultural University . Approach was expected reduced the gap between experts and farmers through joint team of Indo - American Research and Agricultural Education in 1954/55 and 1959/60 on models of U.S. Land Grant Colleges . On October 2, 1964 , Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya ( JNKVV ) was inaugurated by the then Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Smt. Indira Gandhi.


The Central Administrative Office of the University is located about 7 km north of Jabalpur city on National Highway No. 7. The University was established by an act of Madhya Pradesh Legislature passed in 1963.
The University had to part with the creation of sister universities Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya ( IGKV ) to Raipur in 1987 , Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindhia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya , Gwalior in 2008 and Veterinary Science University Nanaji Deshmukh , Jabalpur in 2009 .
At present, the University has an area of ​​approximately 1.544 acres of land. The area under the jurisdiction of the University contains alluvial , deep black , half black , shallow and light black , mixed red and black , mixed red and yellow and skeletal soil or gravel . It is low to medium in available nitrogen and phosphorus and medium to high in available potassium .
Currently, JNKVV covers five Colleges of Agriculture ( Jabalpur , Rewa , Tikamgarh , Ganjbasoda and Waraseoni ), one Agricultural Engineering ( Jabalpur ), 4 Zonal Agricultural Research Stations ( ZARS ) ( Jabalpur , Powarkheda , Tikamgarh and Chhindwara ) 4 Regional Agricultural Research Station ( Rewa , Sagar , Dindori and Waraseoni ), 4 Agricultural Research Station (ARS ) ( Naugaon , Garhakota , Sausar and tendinitis ) and 20 Krishi Vigyan Kendra ( KVK ) represents six agro-climatic zones spread over 25 districts .
JNKVV HR has been responsible for managing the activities of agriculture and allied sectors and also played a key role in the growth and development of agriculture in the state, need based research and its rapid spread in the past have led several technological improvements during the year are visible in terms of increased production and productivity of crops in a sustainable way. Research on dryland farming system sustainability makes the productivity and the efficient use of natural resources policyholders . The state ranks first in pulses , oilseeds second and third in grain production nationwide. The State's contribution to the national food basket is approximately 10 % . Recently, in January 2013 , the state received " Krishi Karman Award " nationally.

The responsibilities of planning and research activities are undertaken by the Office of Research Services , Human Resource Management , Bureau of Training and dissemination and transfer of technology by the Directorate of Extension Services .
The university comprises the Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Agricultural Engineering is headed by Dean Faculty . Each faculty constituent colleges are run by the respective Dean , while each department is headed by the respective University professor and chief . The placement and orientation of students are governed by Dean Students Welfare while agricultural production activities and seeds are administered by the Director Farm, JNKVV , Jabalpur .
